A Day in the Life Around Logan Square

Everyone knows that moving to a new place can be super overwhelming. You’re not sure which restaurants around the area are actually good, you’re still not sure where to get the best produce, and you honestly have no idea how to navigate the city’s public transportation system.

Take a deep breath—The Hamilton is here to help! Read on to discover everything you have at your fingertips once you’ve moved into your new apartment in our Logan Square neighborhood, right in the heart of Philadelphia.

Errands made easy

You can’t put your brand-new GE© kitchen appliances to the test without a fridge full of food! It’s a good thing you have plenty of grocery options right in your backyard.

If you’re looking for healthy options and some seriously unique snacks, Whole Foods is a few blocks west of The Hamilton on Pennsylvania Avenue. But if ramen and cereal are more in line with your cravings (hey, we don’t judge), Target is even closer! Lucky you.

Places to go, things to see

Philadelphia is chock-full of all kinds of museums, from fabric to body parts (gross, but cool). But for now, let’s start off with a few of the classics.

The Barnes Foundation, located on the nearby Benjamin Franklin Parkway, displays its art collection in a space so beautiful that you may even get some design inspiration for your new apartment. If you’re up for something a little less abstract, the Franklin Institute is a Philadelphia staple full of scientific fun. Plus, starting April 13, comic book and action movie fans can check out a special exhibit called Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes!

Serious shopping sprees

You’re a city dweller now, which means that it’s time to dress the part. Upgrade your wardrobe with a shopping spree on Center City’s Walnut Street, or opt for a trip to Chestnut Street’s Liberty Place, filled with beloved stores like Bloomingdales and Express if you’re more of a mall shopper. There are plenty of eateries and coffee shops along the way to stop and refuel, too.

The Broad Street Line’s Walnut-Locust station is just three stops away from our local Spring Garden station, which is right outside your front door. Trust us, the subway is a breeze once you get the hang of it. You’ll be a pro in no time!

Since there’s so much to love about our neighborhood, it can be hard to choose a favorite aspect. The foodie in us wants to say it’s the local restaurant scene, though. Topping off your day around town with a delicious meal is always in style.

Osteria, your new go-to spot for heavenly ravioli, is just a short walk from The Hamilton. South Jazz Kitchen, also nearby, will leave you stuffed with home-cooked goodness and quality entertainment.
